# How to Make It:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Unroll puff pastry on lightly floured surface. Spread Dijon mustard evenly over surface if using.

04 - Starting from opposite long edge, tightly roll pastry into a log toward the border. Press edge firmly to seal.
05 - Cut roll into 16 even pieces. Place pinwheels cut side up on prepared baking sheet, spacing apart.

07 - Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and puffed.
08 - Cool slightly before serving warm.

# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • These are the ultimate crowd pleaser that disappear faster than you can bake them
  • The puff pastry creates these incredibly flaky layers that contrast perfectly with the savory filling
02 -
  • If the puff pastry gets too warm while you are working it becomes impossible to handle so pop it in the fridge for 10 minutes
  • A sharp knife is essential for clean slices otherwise you squish the spiral and the pinwheels lose their shape
03 -
  • Use a serrated knife and saw gently through the pastry instead of pressing down to maintain the spiral shape
  • Space the pinwheels at least 2 inches apart on the baking sheet so they puff up instead of merging together
