01 - Combine sugar and active dry yeast with warm water in a bowl. Allow to stand for 5 minutes until the mixture is foamy.
02 - Incorporate all-purpose flour, olive oil, and salt. Mix and knead until a smooth dough forms, about 5 to 7 minutes. Cover and rest in a warm area for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
03 - Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
04 - Dust a surface with flour and roll dough into a 10 by 14 inch rectangle.
05 - Distribute shredded mozzarella, sliced pepperoni, dried oregano, and garlic powder evenly over the dough.
06 - Starting from a long side, roll dough tightly into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces.
07 - Place each roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Brush rolls with melted butter and sprinkle grated Parmesan on top.
08 - Bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden and thoroughly baked.
