01 - Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, combine broccoli florets and minced garlic with olive oil, kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Toss until evenly coated.
03 - Spread seasoned broccoli in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
04 - Roast for 18 to 20 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking, until broccoli is crisp-tender with caramelized edges.
05 - Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan. Toss gently to allow cheese to melt slightly from residual heat.
06 - Transfer to serving dish and serve hot or at room temperature.
