01 - Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Using a serrated bread knife, slice the entire block of Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the rolls attached to each other.
03 - Arrange the bottom half of the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Evenly layer the sliced cheddar cheese over the rolls. Top with ham or turkey if using.
04 - Place the top half of the Hawaiian rolls over the cheese and any added fillings.
05 - Combine melted butter with mustard, honey, and garlic powder if desired. Brush the tops of the rolls with the butter mixture using a pastry brush.
06 - Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden brown.
07 - Let the baked rolls cool for 2 minutes. Slice into individual mini sandwiches and serve warm.
